Role Summary
The Programs Officer will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of TechRise DTI’s digital-skills, education, youth-empowerment, and community-development programs. The officer will coordinate program activities, manage stakeholder relationships, prepare reports, and contribute to grant writing and fundraising efforts that support the organisation’s mission and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and implement programs according to approved objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Develop work plans, implementation schedules, program frameworks, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate digital-skills training, webinars, workshops, scholarships, community outreach, and youth-development initiatives.
- Research relevant local and international grant opportunities, funding calls, and partnership prospects.
- Write compelling grant proposals, concept notes, letters of inquiry, and funding applications.
- Prepare project narratives, logical frameworks, theories of change, budgets, sustainability plans, and supporting grant documents.
- Maintain a grant calendar and track deadlines, submission requirements, donor feedback, and reporting obligations.
- Collaborate with the leadership and finance teams to prepare program budgets and monitor the use of funds.
- Monitor program implementation and measure progress against agreed deliverables and key performance indicators.
- Collect and analyse program data, participant feedback, outcomes, lessons learned, and success stories.
- Prepare periodic program, impact, donor, and management reports.
- Maintain relationships with beneficiaries, trainers, volunteers, partners, donors, government institutions, and community stakeholders.
- Support partnership development, sponsorship acquisition, donor engagement, and resource mobilisation.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies, donor requirements, safeguarding standards, and relevant regulations.
- Identify program risks and recommend suitable mitigation measures.
- Represent TechRise DTI at stakeholder meetings, conferences, community engagements, and other relevant events.
- Support the preparation of communication materials highlighting program activities, achievements, and impact.
- Perform other program-related responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Project Management, Public Administration, Social Sciences, International Relations, Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A minimum of two to three years of relevant experience in program coordination, nonprofit management, community development, education, youth empowerment, or digital-skills initiatives.
- Demonstrable experience in grant research, grant writing, proposal development, and donor reporting.
- Experience preparing concept notes, project proposals, implementation plans, budgets, and monitoring frameworks.
- Previous experience working with an NGO, nonprofit organisation, social enterprise, or development-focused institution is desirable.
- Familiarity with donor requirements, funding application procedures, and project-compliance standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, project-management platforms, and online collaboration tools.

Key Performance Indicators
Performance will be assessed based on:
- Timely and successful implementation of assigned programs.
- Quality and number of grant proposals and funding applications submitted.
- Grant success rate and value of funding secured.
- Achievement of program targets and measurable beneficiary outcomes.
- Accuracy and timeliness of program and donor reports.
- Quality of stakeholder, beneficiary, and partner engagement.
- Compliance with approved budgets, donor requirements, and organisational policies.
- Effectiveness of program monitoring, documentation, and impact reporting.
Compensation
The Programs Officer will receive a monthly salary of ₦150,000, subject to the organisation’s employment terms, statutory obligations, and performance requirements.
